Coming from an islamic background, I was always intrigued by the legacy of Al-Hambra palace. Moreover, I started to design my own shirts, so it only felt right to create something functional that truly completes how the garment should be positioned.

Determining the pattern: Looking into Al-Hambra, one of the most famous monuments of Islamic architecture and one of the best preserved palaces of the historic Islamic world. I saw these patterns, which made me think that it could be translated into a functional product.

Pattern and sketch: After figuring out what pattern inspired me the most within Al-Hambra, it was time to devise how it should be arranged. Sketching it was quite helpful to determine how it should look like and measuring out the exact dimension based on existing clothes hangers.
