I was tasked to create a product for a park native to New York City, I decided to focus on Propsect Park in Brooklyn. I started by designing individual products that revolve around mindfulness and presence; as this was the feeling I felt when I first visited the park. The end product turned out to become a kit that you can easily take to the park and use the products that come with.
Initial Sketches: Ideation sketching for multiple solutions.
Process: I ended up creating three initial products that relate to the park: The dice that shows places to visit, A bird diagram of multiple species found within the park and a bird call card that plays a sound when you open it.
The full kit: I also added carving blocks so people can carve out impressions they find within the park.
Final Product: The kit opens in multiple directions by utilizing hinges, the product as a prototype is all fully 3D printed, however if I were to move forward with this suction then I would create them all out of wood.
